Is there a market for plus-sized menswear?

Business of Fashion takes an interesting look at the plus-sized market, looking at whether there are opportunities for menswear.

Of course, like womenswear, it's not as easy as just bolting on extra inches to your standard patterns. Brands need to truly understand the differences in larger bodies and making these subtle alternations in the form of plus-sized clothes. And then there is the matter of cost, because extra raw material simply costs more. These are all considerations for brands wanting to venture into the plus-sized market, but there is also huge opportunity within the menswear sector. In 2014, Mintel reported that the menswear markert has grown 18% in the last five years.

Reading the BOF article, I also picked up some other finds that peaked my interest...

This is a British leisurewear brand by Rugby Legend Phil Vickery (aka the Raging Bull). The casual and rugby-inspired clothing also includes a 'Big & Tall' range for larger gentlemen.
