Small victory! Angolan model Maria Borges made hair history at the Victoria's Secrets catwalk show by wearing her natural hair. Shocking, I know. If we really look at this story it seems crazy that it was news worthy. Let's break it down. A black woman did something that seems unconscionable: she wore her god-given hair as it grows out of her scalp. I'm not taking this win for granted because I really do consider it a win, I'm just saying let's really look at what we are praising here.
